Michelle Addington (Producer/Director)

Michelle Addington, president of Honua Films, Inc., is a director, writer, and producer. Over a period of 23 years, Michelle has earned a reputation of undertaking, completing, and distributing projects of the highest quality. Michelle’s experience includes the production of more than 30 shows for the travel industry to include: The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Hyatt Hotels. In 2003, she received her profession’s highest honor – an Emmy Award for Above & Below Maui, a short film narrated by Bo Derek.

As a producer for YNR Marketing in the US, her latest film, Humpbacks from Fire to Icean intimate film portrait of the first year of a baby humpback whale’s life, has been distributed by National Geographic worldwide as well as in the United States where it aired as Fellowship of Whales on PBS Nature. This powerful film was a finalist for the Best in Broadcast Award at the Blue Ocean Film Festival.

Ross Ching (Director of Photography)

Ross is a filmmaker whose work has garnered wide acclaim for his creative and technical innovation, and visual style. Ross’ interest in film began as a teenager and matured through college at San Diego State. As a commercial director, Ross’ credits include work for Popsicle, Pepsi, and a campaign for Shaw Floors. He has directed videos that, collectively, have tallied more than 40 million views online.

He attributes his success to his philosophy: continue to innovate by never doing the same thing twice.

Jen Tsai (Camera Operator)

Jen Tsai was born in Canada and has made a name for herself from Quebec to New York City.  Her television work as a Camera Operator allows her to travel and enjoy the outdoors filming shows like:  Hogan Knows Best, Wife Swap, American Pickers, 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom Two, and Hawaii Life.

Tom Visser (Sound Mixer)

Tom came out of the independent film world, mixing independent projects in the trenches of NYC. After moving to Hawaii, he broadened his horizons and worked in television, film, and documentaries. His most recent projects include “Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau”, “Hawaii Life” (HGTV). “Linsanity”, “Language Matters” (PBS), and “Hawaii Five-O”.

Andrew Chastney (Editor)

Andrew (professional website) has been a permanent fixture on the Bristol editing scene working on a huge range of award-winning broadcast documentaries, both natural history and features, from “Planet Earth,” “Human Planet,”and “Life” to “Ray Mears” and “DIY SOS.”  Currently, Andrew is director/cameraman on a series of “Behind the Scenes” short films for the Blu-ray release of “African Cats,” a Disney feature film.
